Box 682 Atherton Qld 4883 http://www.treclub.org.au Introduction First established in 1988 the Tablelands Radio and Electronics Club Inc. (TREC) is situated in Far North Queensland. TREC is located on the Atherton Tablelands - about 50km SW of Cairns, in beautiful Tropical Far North Queensland, Australia. Situated about 750m above sea level on the Atherton Tablelands (a volcanic plateau) the area provides a ideal place for radio operations. TREC members have an interest in amateur radio and electronics. The club is also active in the VHF/UHF area of operations and regularly participates in field day contests. Visiting Hams to the area are most welcome to join in our activities Meetings have a show and tell portion of the proceedings and are normally held on the 3rd Saturday of the month. If there is no meeting on that day we are engaged in another ham related activity.
